Sixth grader Lauren Nitahara (Trumpet, First Chair) represented Muirlands Middle in the annual 5 th-6 th Grade District Honor Band concert earlier this month. All band and orchestra students are encouraged to try out for a spot in the District’s top music ensemble. Watch the VAPA website each December for audition times and practice pieces.
